GOVERNING COUNCIL APPROVES APPOINTMENTS OF SOME PRINCIPAL OFFICERS FOR KOGI STATE POLYTECHNIC, LOKOJA

The Governing Council of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja has approved the  appointment of some  Principal Officers of the institution in a bid to further enhance quality service delivery.At the emergency meeting of the Governing Council held on 22nd May, 2021, four (4) new Principal Officers were appointed  to head the Registry, Bursary, Works and Library Units. Mr Aiyeetan Sunday is the new  Registrar of the Polytechnic, while Mr Obadaki Adeika Obaro is now the Bursar.The Council also appointed Engineer Adamu Abdullahi Ayni as the Director of Works and Services while Mrs. Ozohu Omolola Mohammad Audu is the new Polytechnic Librarian. The Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr Isa Yakubu while  congratulating  the newly appointed Principal Officers, further charged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear so as to move the Polytechnic to an enviable height. KOGI POLY EXPELS 42 STUDENTS OVER EXAMINATION MISCONDUCT, THEFT, FORGING OF RESULTS

 The Academic Board of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, at her emergency meeting held on Thursday 20th May, 2021, considered reports of various committees and consequently approved the expulsion of 42 students for offenses bordering on theft, examination malpractices and forging of results.Among the expelled students is Mr. Victor Attah of ND II, Business Administration Department, with Matric Nō 2018/ND/BUS/903.Mr. Victor was involved in the running of an illegal examination syndicate, popularly known as Magic Centre in connivance with one Ibrahim Hayatu who was the ring leader. The centre was bursted sometimes ago, precisely on 5th November, 2020, at Sarkin Noma in Lokoja.Similarly, Mr. Akerele Oluwaseun, an ND I student of the Department of Computer Science, with Matric No 2019/ND/CPS/676 was expelled for stealing a bag belonging to one Abdulganiyu Mohammed from the same Department.Other 40 expelled  students from the institution are those that forged National Diploma  (N

Kogi Poly Concludes arrangements for Online Hostel Accommodation Allocation … ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION DATE FOR 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Academic Board of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja at her meeting of Thursday, 6th May, 2021, approved the Academic Calendar for the 2020/2021 Academic Session. The approved Academic Calendar as released by the office of the Director, Academic Planning Unit  indicates that resumption for new academic session for all students (except those on SIWES) is  Monday, 17th May, 2021. Other vital information as contained in the Academic Calendar shows that registration for all students will commence on 17th May, 2021 ( the date of resumption) and will end on 29th May, 2021 (a period of two weeks). Late registration which attracts a penalty of additional five thousand naira (N5, 000) fees will terminate on12th June, 2021. Similarly, Orientation and Matriculation for fresh students will hold  between 14th and 19th June, 2021. Gunmen abduct Nasarawa lawmaker’s brother, demand N10 million

  The Councilor representing Agbashi Electoral Ward in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Mr. Jibrin Ede, has reportedly been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.Member of the State House of Assembly representing Doma South Constituency, Hon. John Osewu, who is also an elder brother to the victim, made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen on Saturday in Lafia.Hon. Osewu explained that the victim was kidnapped in the early hours of Saturday when he was on his way to Okpata community in Doma LGA to see a friend.“My younger brother was kidnapped this morning when he was going to see his friend in the Okpata community.
