Bayero is from Kano State and is the second son of Ado Bayero, the 13th Emir of Kano. He attended Kofar Kudu Primary School and preceded to Government Secondary School, Birnin Kudu. He studied mass communication from Bayero University Kano and also went to Flying College, Oakland, California, US, before undergoing his National Youth Service Corps at the Nigeria Television Authority, Makurdi.Bayero worked as a public relations officer at Kabo Air, before becoming a flight engineer. Kogi State government has condemned violent clashes in Ochadamu area of the state in the aftermath of the just concluded governorship election. The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, David Lyon, winner of the November 16 Bayelsa governorship election.Returning Officer, Prof. Faraday Orumwense, Vice-chancellor, University of Benin, announced at the INEC Collation Centre in Yenagoa, that the APC polled 352,552 votes while the PDP scored 143,17 votes.
