EXCITEMENTS AS FIVE KOGI POLY LECTURERS MAKE AFRICA TOP 100 SCIENTISTS

It was celebration and exchange of cheers galore at the Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja recently when the School received the news of five of its lecturers who were selected among Top 100 African outstanding Scientists for the year 2022 following their remarkable research works which attracted global attention and commendation. WE WILL NOT CONDONE ANY FEE INCREMENT FROM ANY INSTITUTION, NANS warns

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have said giving the biting and excruciating hardship Nigerian Students, their parents and indeed majority of Nigerians are going through, it will not condone any appearances or semblance of fee increment from any tertiary institution, not to talk of a fee increment proper.  In a statement signed by  NANS National Assistant Secretary General (ASG), Comr. Omede Sunday, who said, "the attention of NANS have been drawn to a rumour of a plan to increase school and or accommodation fees by the management of tertiary institutions in Nigeria". Kogi ‘Pure Water’ Producers Announce Major Price Increase

Following the high cost of production occasioned by the exchange rate of the Naira to dollar, Kogi State Chapter of the Association of Table... F ollowing the high cost of production occasioned by the exchange rate of the Naira to dollar, Kogi State Chapter of the Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP) has announced an increment in the price of a bag of table water, popularly known as “Pure Water.” The Association had early last year increased the amount of a bag of Pure Water from N100 to N130 due to the economic effect caused by the first wave of Covid-19 pandemic. The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Joseph Eseyin who announced this while speaking with Newsmen in Lokoja, said a bag of water will now be sold at N200 in view of the present economic realities. Mr. Eseyin explained that the need to increase price of bag of sachet water was as a result of high cost of materials of production and current economic hardship in the country.
