Femi Falana, Sessi lead massive protest to Lagos State Government Secretariat

Member of the Nigeria Labour Congress protesting in solidarity with striking lecturers have arrived at the Lagos State Government Secretariat. The protesters arrived at the gate at exactly 11:30 am singing “solidarity forever, we shall always fight for our rights.” The protesters who carried placards with different inscriptions were led by Mrs. Funmi Sessi, Lagos state chairman of NLC, and Human Rights Activist, Barrister Femi Falana. Speaking to the security operatives at the entrance of the secretariat, Falana said: “We are here on a peaceful protest to fight for the education of our children. We are here to deliver a letter to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to help us submit it to President Muhammadu Buhari. We are here on a peaceful mission and for the future of our education and children.” Sessi, Lagos state chairman of NLC also appealed to the police to remove the barricade at the secretariat so members of the congress can deliver the letter to the governor. In 2018 as an NYSC Corp member I graciously saved my stipend to write a book which took me over a year for President Muhammadu Buhari. First meeting outside the campus prior to the NANS unity convention in Abuja, his friendly posture, sense of judgement, selflessness and Leadership Skills and Acumen strongly endeared him to me. There are indications that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate for the 2023 polls, Bola Tinubu has confirmed Senator Kashim Shettima as his running mate. Asiwaju says Alhaji masari has withdraw as running mate placeholder and Senator kashim shettima is his running mate The News Agency of Nigeria also reported in one of its bulletins on Sunday that the vice presidential candidate will be unveiled to President Muhammadu Buhari, who is the leader of the party in his hometown in Daura, Katsina State on Sunday (today). President Buhari has been in Daura since Friday for the Eid-el Kabir celebration.
