THE EDUCATION SUMMIT WITH THE THEME "THE IMPERATIVE NEED OF REVIEWING EDUCATIONAL CURRICULUM IN ORDER TO ADDRESS MORAL DECADENCE IN NIGERIAN SOCIETY " - Comrade Omoniyi Alice (NANS JCC Chairperson Kogi State Axis).

The Education Summit which held at the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja premises on the 5th of August 2022 was orchestrated by National Association of Nigerian Students, Kogi State under the leadership of Comrade Omoniyi Alice (NANS JCC Chairperson Kogi State Axis).

The Summit was organized for all tertiary Institutions Students in Kogi State. Some Students from the following schools were in attendance; Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, Federal College of Education Okene, Kogi State College of Education Technical Kabba, Prince Abubakar Audu University Ayingba and Kogi State College of Education Ankpa.  

Educational Moguls from the above listed institution were also in attendance; Dr. Usman Ogbo (Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic), Dr. Jagboro Victoria (Provost COE, Technical Kabba),  Prof. Marietu Tenuche (V.C, Prince Abubakar Audu University Ayingba), Dr. Umar Hassan (Provost COE Okene) humbly represented by the Director of Undergraduate Programmes in person of Dr. I.O Ene amongst others.

The above listed Educationist deemed it fit to orientate the students on the theme of the summit and commended the NANS Chairperson on her doggedness for orchestrating such a mind bogglingly events.

Also in attendance include the following political icons; Hon. Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku (Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor) who sent a representative, Hon. Pharm. Ahmad O. Jibril; S.A on Youth and Student's affairs,  Hon. Isah Babangida; SSA on students to the Kogi State Governor and the Hon. S.A on Women affairs. They all commended the NANS Chairperson and encouraged Students to engage in Unionism and never give the students chance to regret Voting them in power. They also encouraged Students not to wait till the nearest future before aspiring for portfolios but start now. Youths are no longer the leaders of tomorrow but Leaders of Today.

The Launching programme took place immediately and Awards were presented to all dignitaries in attendance.

ANFS call for total transparent and Investigation claim against prof. Cyril Ndifon at University of Calabar

The Association of Nigerian Female Students (ANFS), a prominent advocate for gender equality and against sexual violence, has taken a stand and is demanding a thorough investigation into the matter. According to a formal complaint letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of the University, several female students have come forward with claims of encountering a hostile and inappropriate environment within the faculty. The letter, authored by  Princess Omoniyi, the National President of ANFS, emphasizes the urgency of addressing the matter and seeks a prompt response from the University administration. ANFS, which serves as an apex platform for Nigerian female students, promotes social welfare, inclusivity, economic empowerment, and capacity building. The organization has historically been at the forefront of the battle against Students Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SSGVB).
