AMMBAN Lokoja Chapter Holds General Meeting and Inaugurates Local Government Executive and Zonal Coordinators


In a significant step towards enhancing financial inclusion in Nigeria, the Association of Mobile Money and Bank Agents in Nigeria (AMMBAN) Lokoja Chapter recently convened a general meeting and inaugurated its local government executive and zonal coordinators. Welcoming the Members:
The meeting commenced with Mr. Joseph Sunday, the local government coordinator, extending a warm welcome to all the members present. He provided a brief overview of AMMBAN, shedding light on its mission, vision, and the role it plays in promoting financial services across the region.

During the gathering, the participants were enlightened about the numerous benefits associated with being a part of AMMBAN. Recognizing the challenges faced by AMMBAN in the Lokoja Chapter, the meeting focused on identifying potential solutions. One major concern raised by Mrs. Janet (MJ POS) was the high charges imposed by commercial bank terminals and other transaction terminals. In response to this, Mr. Nonso Benz proposed revising the pricing structure to ensure customer-friendly charges. After considering multiple suggestions from the members, Mr. Joseph, the LGA coordinator, introduced a revised pricing list that garnered unanimous agreement from the general assembly.

Inauguration of AMMBAN Lokoja LGA Executive and Zonal Coordinators:
An integral part of the event was the inauguration of the AMMBAN Lokoja Local Government Area (LGA) executive and zonal coordinators. This step further solidified the association's commitment to strengthening its local presence and expanding its influence within the region. Among the inaugurated positions were Vice Coordinator LGA- Enape Sunday,Secretary LGA- Akerele Joshua, Assistant Secretary LGA - Sarah Olurunnipa, financial Secretary LGA-Asuku Francis Enesi, Treasurer LGA- Gbadebo olayinka, Public Relations Officer (PRO) LGA -Attai salifu,and Welfare LGA- Emmanuel A Jacob. The ceremony also included the appointment of Zonal coordinators and Executive for specific areas, such as Zone A,Zone B,Zone C, Zone D and Zone E  

Collaboration with Security Agencies:
Emphasizing the importance of member safety, Mr. Joseph advised the newly inaugurated AMMBAN executive to collaborate closely with security agencies such as the Nigeria Police, Civil Defense, and vigilant groups. This collaborative effort aims to ensure the protection and well-being of all AMMBAN members during their operation

Police Arrest Six Suspects Over Murder Of Kogi PDP Woman Leader

Six suspects have been arrested over the murder of Woman Leader of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Wada/Aro campaign council in Kogi state, Mrs. Achejuh Abuh.This is coming barely 24 hours after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered security agencies to carry out a thorough expeditious investigation into the incident.Mrs. Abuh was burnt alive in her home by suspected political thugs after the Governorship election in the state.According to the Command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP William Ayah, who spoke to Channels Television, the six suspects were arrested on Friday in Ochadamu while carrying out a robbery operation.He added that during interrogation, investigation revealed that one of the suspects was a principal actor in the killing of the women leader.According to Mr. Ayah, the suspects will be interrogated to ascertain the level of their involvement in the crime.The police spokesman said the outcome of the investigation will be made public upon conclusion.
