Accord to Aljazzera news report that Suspected suicide car bomb targets popular hotel, the latest in a series of attacks to hit the Somali capital.
A suspected suicide bomber has
detonated an explosives-packed car at the gate of a popular hotel in
Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, according to police. The powerful blast on Wednesday was followed by a second explosion, with attackers fighting their way inside Dayah Hotel, located near Somalia's parliament in central Mogadishu.
Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for
the attack, according to a report by
Andalus radio, which is linked to the
armed group. "Well-armed mujahideen (fighters) attacked the hotel and now they are fighting inside the hotel," the report said.
The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have said giving the biting and excruciating hardship Nigerian Students, their parents and indeed majority of Nigerians are going through, it will not condone any appearances or semblance of fee increment from any tertiary institution, not to talk of a fee increment proper. Omede Sunday, who said, "the attention of NANS have been drawn to a rumour of a plan to increase school and or accommodation fees by the management of tertiary institutions in Nigeria". However, should tertiary institutions be inconsiderate to the plight of suffering Nigerians and go head to make any such increment, NANS will not hesitate to mobilize Nigerian Students to a mother of all protests and shut down any such institution".
